Having a home inspection performs on a home or condo you are purchasing is probably one of the wisest decisions you can make. I’ve seen many inspections that have uncovered major defects in a home that would have cost the buyers thousands of dollars to correct, had they not been discovered by the home inspector. Again, for the Peace of Mind you will have, the small cost of the inspection is well worth it.
There are several other inspection that should be performed on the home you are considering purchasing. Testing for high Radon levels and inspecting for any pests/insect infestation are two additional inspections that should be considered as well.
